Therapeutic/Relaxation Massage

Therapeutic Massage uses long flowing strokes, kneading, pressure, and friction to encourage circulation and blood flow, which in turn releases toxins, and provides nutrients and oxygen to soft tissue and improves movement. It is a wonderful way to alleviate stress and tension in the body, and is both relaxing and invigorating.

This type of massage reduces recovery time from muscular strain and improves circulation, and because it soothes the nervous system, it is effective in reducing emotional and physical stress.

If you are tense, stressed, or feeling worn out, Therapeutic or Relaxation Massage can reduce your muscle tension, quieten your mind, and assist in a good nights sleep.

Clients may choose a partial or full body treatment. Appointments are available for 30-minutes up to an hour.

Remedial (Deep Tissue) Massage

Remedial Massage incorporates different techniques such as myofascial, deep tissue, and trigger points, that are used to treat the dysfunction of soft tissue, either from sports injury, repetitive overuse from work, or a sedentary lifestyle.

This type of massage is used to treat chronic back and neck pain, muscle strain, and to increase the range of motion following an injury or surgery.

The massage can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow, and provides a healing treatment for the muscles and tendons that are damaged, impaired, knotted, tense, or immobile.

Sessions generally take from 30-minutes to an hour, depending on the whether the treatment addresses a specific area or whether the treatment is to provide full body balance.

Why have a Remedial Massage?

  • Stimulates blood supply and allows toxins in muscles to be removed
  • Calms the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort
  • Tones and relaxes muscles to improve joint mobility
  • Improves health of cells
  • Repairs tissues
  • Eases stiffness and tension
